Spot on! Shrub was just the pliable figurehead: his sole function was his
strength as a campaigner. As a cutout frontman, he performed well. I guess I
could agree that it isn't Dubya's fault. Let's blame his genetic stew, and
his father's cabal's ambitions.
His dad and his posse had their chance, but they were too far ahead of the
curve. Americans were not stupid and distracted enough during Poppy's
presidency to fall for the manipulations during the reign of
Bush-the-lesser-stupid. All it took was the completion of the the
CorporoMedia consolidation, and the fruits of the Clenis's economic policies
to lull most of America into the deep slumber of ignorant exceptionalism.
I did note your inclusion of Henry the K, but I noted the glaring omission
of James Baker III from your rogues gallery. No list of traitors to the
American ideal is complete without his inclusion. And let's not forget the
one of the early gurus: Following WWII, the Harriman/Prescott Bush/Dulles
boys introduced their children to Leo Strauss, who
planted and cultivated the seeds of our destruction.
And we might as well acknowledge 'The Crazies' from the Reagan puppet show:
they fell in disgrace, only to fool Ford into allowing them back into the
Whitehouse.
With Cheney and Rummy back in the saddle, the stage was set for our own
American tragedy.
